Considering that I just posted a link to an article about stage fighting, I thought it would be a good time to discuss the swords that we use.
I just ran across this very well written article on stage fighting, which is the art of making it look like you’re fighting, while being safe! If you ever wanted a sword fight or fight scene in your movie, read this lengthy article and check out some of the listed books.
If you don’t use Blender yet, your excuses for not trying it have just gotten smaller. Blender 2.46 has been released, and this version is a doozy! Coming off of the Peach Open Movie, 2.46 adds a wealth of new features that are going to keep the CG crew of Phantom Moose busy for weeks.
I haven’t tried this yet, but it looks very interesting. MAKE magazine has this large section of rentals on their site, and a lot of them are about filmmaking. Cool!
